POETRY ABOUT POWER(PPAG &CNF)

Not from fear or force, this power springs
But from respect and the connection it brings
A beacon of light, a steady guide
In the shadows of doubt, it stands beside. 

A scholar's mind, a master's hand
Expert power, a beacon grand
Guiding others with seasoned insight
In every challenge, shining bright.

From the halls of governance, through the land
Legitimate power, with a steady hand
Respect and order, in its command
A beacon of unity, where all can stand.

Yet in the face of coercion's might
Courage and resilience take flight
Defiance blooms, in the oppressed's soul
Against coercive power, they stand whole.

Guiding hearts with the lure of gain
Reward power, a soothing rain
In the tapestry of influence, its gentle grace
A beacon of hope, in every embrace.

CREATIVE NONFICTION assignment "choosing to stay home"

"CHOOSING TO STAY HOME" 1. Suspense: ans: "The hustle and bustle of the barangay is perhaps intensified in the wake of a fire that ravaged the place a week before we arrived." As a reader, this opening sentence made me curious about the fire's impact and what the residents were going through. 2. Showing Instead of Telling: ans: "Presently, Pasil isn’t allowed to rebuild itself, but the background noise for our conversation with Nay Salbing is the sound of a hammer on metal. A neighbor is putting up a new zinc roofs, defying the explicit rules set by the mayor to not start any rebuilding efforts for now." This scene showed me how determined the residents were to rebuild their homes even when they weren't supposed to.   3.
